History
One Heart One Hand represents the ideal that each individual is connected through their heart with the Sacred Heart…the universal heart that connects all. It also references the concept that as two legged people - we have two hands…one to serve our self and one to serve others; one hand that gives and one hand that receives…
In essence, if we take the place of remembering the one heart and the one hand, we necessarily operate in a manner that sustains not only our self - also all others.
This is the story and evolution of One Heart One Hand. The division has always been a part of the model and inception of the organization as a whole. The Holly Oak history describes some of the early development.
To date One Heart One Hand has included:
* development of a resource library which includes books, CD’s & DVD’s.
* distribution resources/items to those in need and contributions to local charities/fundraising efforts
* fundraising contributions locally - to assist those with registration of classes in the Opening Way; Janeen Lankowski - local athlete, internationally ranked female bodybuilder
* fundraising contributions internationally - through Artists4Development, assisting with children’s soccer programs, school and education; women’s collective; and solar powered pump for local water source
